Pan-Banging Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Weigh out ingredients

You'll need flour, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, peanut butter, butter, and chocolate.

Beat butter & PB

Beat the butter and peanut butter together until smooth.

Add the sugars

Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and beat until light & fluffy.

Add the egg & vanilla

Mix in the egg & vanilla until fully combined, scraping the bowl down as needed.

Mix in dry ingredients

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and mix until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate

Fold in the chocolate, then chill the dough for one hour.

Portion the dough

Use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop to portion the dough.

Roll in sugar

Roll the cookie dough in sugar, then place back on the baking sheet and top with more chocolate.

Bake!

Bake the cookies at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes, then remove from the oven and drop the baking sheet onto a towel-covered countertop about 5-6 times. Place the cookies back in the oven for an additional 3-4 minutes.
