Glazed Orange Pound Cake

Weigh out the ingredients


For the cake, you'll need flour, sugar, butter, eggs, oranges, oil, vanilla, baking powder, and salt.

Weigh out ingredients


For the orang glaze, you'll need powdered sugar, orange juice, and sour cream or yogurt.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and one teaspoon salt.

Combine dry ingredients


In the bowl of a stand mixer, rub the sugar and orange zest together until it resembles wet sand. Add butter and cream for 3-4 minutes, then add eggs and vanilla. Alternate dry ingredients with the orange juice and oil in 3 additions, mixing until just combined.

Make the cake batter


Scrape the bowl down with a rubber spatula, then pour the batter into the pan and smooth into an even layer. Bake for about 1 hour and allow the cake to cool completely before topping with the glaze.

Bake & cool


In a medium bowl, whisk together the confectioners' sugar, one tablespoon yogurt, and 3 tablespoons orange juice until smooth. Pour the glaze on top of the cooled cake, then slice and enjoy!
