For this recipe you'll need yeast, milk, sugar, eggs, flour, salt, butter, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon, cream cheese, and powdered sugar.
Make the dough
Mix lukewarm milk, yeast, and sugar with flour until fully combined. Add butter a few pieces at a time, then mix on high speed for 8 minutes until smooth.
Proof the dough
Once the dough is ready, transfer it to a lightly greased bowl, cover, and allow to proof in a warm environment for one hour or until doubled in size.
Roll the dough out into a rough rectangle and spread the filling all over.
Roll & cut the dough
Roll the dough up from the short side, then trim the ends off of both sides. Cut 6 2-inch rolls with dental floss.
Place the cinnamon rolls in a 9-inch cake pan and rise for about 30 minutes in a warm environment.
Bake the cinnamon rolls for about 20-22 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Top with cream cheese icing
Drizzle the cream cheese icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve!
