For the cake, you'll need cake flour, baking powder, salt, sugar. butter, vanilla, oil, yogurt, buttermilk, egg, egg yolk, and sprinkles.

For the glaze, you'll need powdered sugar, heavy cream, and sprinkles.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the cake flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Combine the dry ingredients

Cut up the butter into small cubes and add to the dry ingredients. Mix on low speed until the mixture resembles wet sand.

Add the oil, yogurt, buttermilk, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, and mix until fully combined.

Gently stir in the sprinkles until evenly distributed.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Tap the pan on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles. Bake the cake for 50-55 minutes or until deeply golden on top and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then use a knife to loosen the sides, and turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the sifted powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth.

Make the glaze

Pour the glaze over the cooled cake, and top with more red, white, and blue sprinkles. Enjoy!
